How terrible is Charm

if it doesn't bring happiness to the charmer herself.

pen & paper

when I had to move out of my previous love nest I left some of my possessions, including a set of kiddie fun-time colouring pens. I think I should get a new set. This time I want sexy, adult ones. If you know any good brands please kindly advise me. Thank you.

Pook

acrylic and japanese watercolour on canvas board

I entered this work to a competition. Didn't win anything but painting it was fun.

Dolbie

Sorry, the images look very small on the page. If you click on them, they get a bit bigger. Sorry again.

Dolbie is a character in one of my comic works. This is a shorter version of the part 1: Dolbie's family gets bankrupt so he gets sent to a rescue. I shortened the script to enter a competition - which I didn't manage to win. The longer version had some rude scenes in it, involving nudity and inflammatory language.

His name was originally spelled as DOLBY, but I thought that may become an issue if he got famous - which hasn't happened yet.

Mr. Goldfish

acrylic on canvas

...This is another example to prove I'm rather bad at tackling glass objects. Thinking about it, I don't think I nailed the fish either.

Feel a bit rubbish. I think Mr Goldfish does too.

Can you see the pint glass? Hopefully

acrylic on canvas board

Few people mentioned that the subject looks like it's urinating in mid air.

I can explain. It's nothing like that. It's sitting on top of an empty pint glass. It's just that I'm not good at painting glass. I'm not a maniac.

Sigourney

acrylic on canvas board

I love the film Aliens. They are just so great. I love Ripley because she respects procedure, but has no time for bureaucracy.

This is not a portrait of Sigourney Weaver though.

How I saw him

acrylic on canvas board

I took out audio guide at Tate Britain's John Martin exhibition.

Apparently critics panned his use of blue saying it's unnatural. I thought it was really unfair. End of the day, they were apocalyptic blues. Maybe his blues were not blue enough for blue blood of the academies.

I love the audio guides. Highly recommendable.

.....or was it acrylic?
DAMN!!!

Him

He is a friend of mine. Very nice guy.

Pedro

I was given an assignment to paint a sweet child. I think he looks sweet...sort of.

Red Hood

He had no involvement in that riot.

Bankside

Acrylics on canvas board

Bankside is one of my favourite areas in London.

be the best in our town

acrylic on card board

Pushy parents baffle me.
Not talking about people who encourage kids to do better. I mean the ones who want their kids to BE THE BEST-IN THE WORLD.

I often seen them on media talking proudly (and maniacally) of their parental choices. But I never hear any 'ex' pushy parents talking about their kids developing eating disorders or some form of social impediments. Sometimes suicides. Even failing.

I genuinely want to know how they feel.

Are you an ex pushy parent, whose offspring snapped under your relentless pressure? What do you feel? Resentment? Disappointment? Bewilderment?

Hot Breeze

I love heat. Doesn't bother me at all. This is a gift, especially when one has to use underground for commuting.

Lady in my dreams

She appears a lot in my dreams.

Sink

crayon on paper

Once I messed up a colouring project at primary school. Used crayon but it got all sticky and messy.

My teacher told me that I must have deliberately produced crap work to hurt her feelings - she started freaking out and called me malicious. Then the cow slapped my head.

Then I was made to apologize.

I still like crayons though.

Get Your Own Pod

pen & paper

Confined spaces and tubular bedding give me endless comfort. A pod will do.

Ruth or Clair

oil on card

Shade of my hair is jet black. I used to think I qualified as 'brunette' but one day a barber corrected me.

I've always liked red hair look. I get a little irritated when I hear some folks suggest red heads are fiery. That's just too simple. Red=Fire, Red-Passion etc. Also if one treats another with that sort of attitude, who can complain about being retorted by scorn and some level of aggression.

I'd be a bit fed up if many assumed black haired folks are morbid or bad. I can be a bit evil at times but that's by choice and not due to my pigment. If someone comes up to me and say I'm a bad person and my black hair is the proof, I'll just give them my pocket change so they lose the argument.

When it's relly hard

pen & paper

I took up running recently. It's bloody hard as you can imagine. When I'm running I constantly smile like an idiot so I give out the impression that I love running and it's a second nature to me. No.
Running is hard and painful but if helps to offset butter and beer, which I adore.

Orgas, Trolls and Giants

pen & paper

I cried hard when one of them got arrowed down in Fellowship of the Ring.

Rabbit in a Pod

It's all about personal responsibility when it comes to feelings and preferences. However irresponsible people do not neccesarily annoy me. They just give me that hangover feeling.

Small, long limbed folks

pen & colour pencils on paper

I borrowed colour pencils from my ex's daughter. She didn't mind. Having said that, she was a very polite and kind person (hope she still is), so maybe she did mind but just didn't show.

Crocs

I think they are perfect.

Ms. NR

Digital photo, shopped

I've never been good with photoshop - which is a shame as I have endless fun playing with it. The original living Ms. NR is much prettier than this.

I learned the program in 1997. There were still Pteranodons flying over our heads.

Son, My Boy

Acrylic on cardboard

I used to go swimming to this community centre in Brixton. Happy and not so happy people swam together in a respectably sized pool. Always the middle lane for me. Sometimes I saw very driven, competitive people kicking everyone off (often literally) in the middle lane but refusing to try the fast lane. Still don't know what that was about.

If you have any theory to it please kindly advise me.
